I know the my setup for many of you is low end, but it is the best system I have ever owned. I have an AVR1612, rc85i fronts, Polk audio cs10 center, rc80i rears, and a sony 10 psw (soon to be upgraded to a custom 15"). Had my brother, who is an audio engineer, tweak my system's speaker placement and Audyssey settings.
Watching transformers 3 glass broke in the movie and tripped my alarms glass break system. ADT called me and everything. When I told the lady my surround sound set it off she was shocked. I still need to upgrade now that I got my feet wet, but for now loving it!

lol rock on dude, I don't know what your equipment is (noob) but I'm happy for you. I'm in the beginning stages of building my system to the max my budget will allow. My uncle dug out a rather old klipsch 12" psw from his closet and let me have it. The sound difference from my 13yo best buy boxed yamaha system blew me away. Wasnt long until I ordered the cheapest klipsch towers I could find and the end of this week I'm getting a denon reciever in the mail. Next will be a center then i'm gonna wait at least a year to get anything else.

I'm absolutly loving every last bit of it, i'm hooked.

oh my first ever encounter with quality sound (outside of an eclipse sq sub in my car) was a pair of sennheiser HD-465 headphones, thats what really planted the seed. The psw made me start the path.

Too late muhahahaha. The wifey is getting aggravated already because I want the next speakers to be all custom made by me and I want the living room to be my new child till I get a new house. Then it'll be a home theater room and not in the living room.

So I upgraded the sub to a bic f12 and the wifey decided to let me get one more for a dual set up. Should be here next Tuesday. She watches movies with a smile now.

Congrats, duals is the way to go in my opinion, I don't know how big your room is, but nonetheless, you will noticed a difference.

I just, last week, upgraded to a dual SVS pb12-nsd and I've been smiling and crying and all that jazz all w/e.

My wife also, although not fully, joined me to the dark side. She doesn't watch tv without the AVR on. Last month, we painted the room so I had everything unhooked, she bitched and complaint until a rehooked everything back up
