Eiki Powerhouse LC-SX1U Service Manual

Hi guys,

Gotta a little problem here wondering if you guys can help me.
I got a Eiki Powerhouse LC-SX1U and I'm in need of the service manual, or at least the data code section for the service entry. It boots up fine and the EIKI logo shows in perfect color, but when the picture comes in, its dark, green tinted and just horrible.

I know these are manufactured by Sanyo but I just cant find the service manual online anywhere, Or is there any service manual close to the data codes for this projector?

Thank you so much in advanced!

The EIKI LC-SX1U projector was manufactured by Sanyo as the PLC-EF10N. This projector was also marketed as:

Proxima Pro AV 9400

Buy todays standards this would be in the 5000 Lumens range and was built for large venues. It throws a huge image and you could align two of them with the lens shift feature to get and even brighter image. It uses a 440 watt Halide lamp and throws a LOT of heat out the back. The lamps are rated at 750 hours but if you treat it right you can get a good 1200 hours out of a lamp. If you want to do a back yard theater these are the units to buy. The quality of the Build is top of the line.

Thats why i love the EIKI i have now, so many features and it beats the Infocus LP800 i have in my living room, And best of all, the sheer size of this projector, i hate small projectors. I like the more larger projectors.

Im gonna try different inputs and see what I get. Ill keep you guys posted

The trouble with these projectors is the lamp life . They are WAY WAY overkill for home use and you can't mount them upside down or some of the internal components will fail prematurely. They also move a LOT of air in order to cool the lamp so fan noise is a concern. For backyard theater or sporadic use there is nothing that can touch them for quality and brightness. These are the monsters that you use if you want to shine a 15 to 25 foot image with no problems. Connect one of these to your VGA port or use an HDTV to RGB converter and the people watching something through this will be stunned.

Do you get a normal image through the VGA, Composite(Yellow) and S-Video ports?

the image that came outta s-video looks distorted and way outta color, VGA looks a little blown out as far as brightness, So before i touch the data codes im gonna right down the codes its currently at before messing with it.

Ill post pics of the what the projector does real soon,

When you say Blown out what do you mean? Did you try an image reset?

you should have a pretty good image with the contrast set around 45 and the brightness set around 30.

Red 32
Blue 32
green 32

you may have to fool around with the fine sync as well

Post a screen shot or two of the image through the VGA port

Heres some pics as promised, Dont worry about the crease in the middle of the projector image, its the closet door, just a temporary place to fix it. I did a screen image comparison to show you the difference. Also it has a bad ghosting problem as you can see in a close up pic,
