HUGO 3D Ghosting on Panny VT30

Anything that can be done to solve or reduce ghosting on my Panasonic VT30? Most 3D movies are fine, but HUGO 3D was bad at times. From what I understand so far it is not the movie, but the display and/or blu-ray player (panny BDT350). Is this just a limitation of this hardware? If it is I can accept it, but just want to see if there is something I can do.

It is the movie. Period. I have watched 5-6 movies in 3D on my ST30 with perfect performance. Then I watched Hugo. There are several threads about this and everyone agrees that it is the movie, not our tv's.

I have to wonder if adjusting the 3D depth will affect the ghosting.

I saw only 1 small second of ghosting on Hugo with my Samsung.

I've read through some of them. My take away was that it is a challenging movie for 3D displays, but should be handled properly. Many displays seem to be handling the disk okay.

From what I gather Hugo employs greater depth (i.e. wider stereo separation) and doesn't shy away from high contrast imagery. Crosstalk (or "ghosting") on deficient displays is generally seen to increase with stereo separation and contrast/dynamic range (black against white is a worst case scenario). Pretty much every active shutter based PDP/LCD sucks in 3D performance, sorry. If you want to see what 3D's supposed to look like, track down an HMZ-T1.

A lot of people (including many professional reviewers) would say (and have said) the same thing about Panasonic's lines, but unfortunately it couldn't be further from the truth.
