Speakers worth keeping?

G'day. My Dad gave back the speakers I gave him over 30 years ago to move to something smaller. They are 3-way Australian made Tangent brand, which incorporated Etone drivers. The 12" woofers had their surrounds replaced about 8 years ago and are still in excellent condition. The speakers have sat idle for a few months with the result that the cone on one of the woofers is not moving freely (corrosion on pole piece, perhaps?). The cone can be moved manually and the woofer will sound on higher volumes in a 'choked' sort of way. The overall sound of these speakers is surprisingly still pretty good and will do nicely for the garage. Is there some way I can 'free up' the woofer, or should I just junk the pair? I'm no techie, so it will have to be a reasonably straightforward suggestion. Thanks in anticipation. David
