Revised- Need some input on 5 speaker setup $1.5K-2K

Room is 13w, 14d, and 9h and is or can be sealed. I can't have anything large for the surrounds and would prefer flush mount via keyhole slot.

Shipping on ID brands to Hawaii would need to be included in the total. I am unable to demo anything or return anything for ID brands.

Will be mostly for HT, TV and some music. I like a good mid range that will do well with voices such as (Sade, Adele, Joe Bonamassa, Little Milton, blues, jazz types). I will be adding either the VTF3-MK4 or PC12-NSD.

My AVR is a HK AVR1600 (50w/channel) and I don't plan on changing it out anytime soon.

OK maybe too long- so best 5 speakers available in budget from Crutchfield, Amazon, or ID that fits budget with shipping.

I appreciate any help you can provide. I've already learned a lot from these forums.

personally, Id go with the PSBs. And then perhaps the Aperions next. I don't know all the ones you listed, but of what I have heard, PSBs would fit the bill just great. Perhaps add some Axiom QS4s from axiom.com for surrounds.

Gene,

It's not only budget you need to worry about. If you indeed are planning to stick with your tender receiver, you need to pick 8 ohm/high sensitivity speakers. And that shortens your list a lot.

Klipsch RF-62, RC-62 & RB-51's perhaps?

I don't know what their shipping cost is, but Vanns has the Kef iQ90s for $500 ea.

Actually the AVR is capable of driving 4 ohm speakers without issue.

It's just lacking in wattage. I do agree that higher sensitivity speakers would work better that's why I'm hesitant with NHT even though I think I would really like the Classic Threes.

Thanks
