Harmony Issue

I have an older Harmony 676 remote and an HP usb IR receiver. It has worked great for the first few weeks of the HTPC. Now it seems to power everything on properly, but the remote won't work from there. This occurs after I have used it successfully and powered off the activity (turn off TV, turn off Receiver, stop MCE) I also have a Rii N7 that I just added and have been leaving the dongle plugged in. Restarting the computer fixes the issue. Seems like the HP receiver is dropping a connection. Could the receiver for the Rii N7 be the issue? Any thoughts?

I am not using anything else to control WMC. Could a power management setting or screensaver be causing this? I am testing to see if the dongle for the Rii N7 was interfering or caused a communication issue. I have pulled this for now.

The remote works, I turn everything off (HTPC stays on all the time), I power everything on with the activity (WMC pulls up or is up from previous power off) then then remote won't control anything on WMC. I can see the HP IR receiver's red light come on when a button is pushed on the remote so I know it is sending a signal and not a broken remote. It has been working for the past day and a half since I have completely removed the usb dongle for the RII N7.


Sammy2.....I understand the Rii N7 is RF, but the USB is interruptable and maybe the two receivers are interrupting one or the other.....in this case the HP IR Receiver. Maybe I'm trying to think too technical, but I will say I have now had the RF dongle off for the past day and a half and have had no issues. This is what leads me to beli
