And, not to start an SSD vs. HDD argument (we have at least 2 threads for that), but I've found the Movie Library is much much faster with an SSD vs. my old HDD.
One other thing is that I rarely change the movies in my library.
I hear what your saying about this. +1 agree.
You can keep the programs and cache on SSD while the actual data and media is still on the HDD. It's a solid plan for a quick working HTPC. SSD based HTPC do indeed browse media better.
