Pink Tint of picture when using Radeon video

Hi All,

I was hoping the experts here might have some suggestions for me. I just built a new HTPC, using an AMD E350 and the onboard Radeon 6310, and on my picture any part that is Pinkish looks extra pink, especially on skin. I had this same problem on a previous HTPC, solved it by switching to an nVidea card, however thats not really an option in this case. Does anyone know how it might be fixed by changing settings, etc. Any help would be great, thanks!

What is the connection, VGA, DVI, HDMI?

It is HDMI

I have had it on my 6570 does it too, I had to increase cooling to the card and slightly adjust the colors via the control panel. Another thread talked about it in the past, but no solution was found:

Since you are using HDMI, color data sent to the monitor is digital. So you will have to adjust the monitor to get the right color. There are color matching software that you can buy to adjust the computer output via gray scale.

Try changing the pixel format in catalyst.

From what to what? Is one of the formats known to produce this?

Based on your software/hardware/usage scenario one should be correct. I've never really seen a hard answer. I basically take the 'try each and see which looks correct' approach. Ideally you want colors to look accurate and black levels to be deep without black crush.

Gotcha, thanks. I had been using YCbCr 4:4:4, I am changing it to 4:2:2 (I think that is what it said).

Thanks everyone for the help and sorry I haven't checked in for a while, I have been a little sick. Anyway, I tried adjusting the color in catalyst, that didn't help much. I will try adjusting the pixel format and report back.

Well the RGB 4:4:4 PC Format is the best of the options that catalyst gives, but is not a cure. If anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear them.

Try turning off all enhancement's in CCC, then turn one by one on to check which one is the issue.

I have the same issue as you, it seems only be happening during live TV. Blu-Rays and other files are ok.
