Thanks JD, but no files are appearing at all on the Marantz display...
Please forgive me if this topic has been covered or if I am posting in the incorrect way. It's my first visit.
My question is regarding the Marantz NR1603...
Does it have the ability to play music (ie. Airplay) while you are watching cable TV? In the morning, I like to watch ESPN while I listen to audio from my iPhone. I was able to do it previously using an old receiver and an Airport Express. Now I've got the Marantz network set up; however when I use Airplay it shows me the the song details etc. on screen. What I'd love is to still be able to watch Cable TV while the music plays out of my receiver.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.
UPDATE: Nevermind... I figured it out. I just used the cable box as the initial HDMI input to the television using an optical output from the TV to the receiver for audio. I'm using the 2nd HDMI input from the TV for the receiver. So, I can have the Cable TV on and use the TV Audio as the volume for the TV... or watch cable while my receiver airplays my music from the Network. Not sure if that is actually the easiest solve but it worked for me. Hopefully this post can help someone else. Cheers!
My main concerne is Asus STX audio card.
