Can you guys recommend a screen size for my room
The first row of seats will be 15 feet back (from eyes to screen) and second row on a 10" riser 20 feet back (from eyes to screen) i was thinking of 133" hp or 159" hp
i currently have a sanyo z2000 but will be getting a epson 5010? thanks

If those are the only two choices, I'd go for the 159".

Me too. We sit under 10 feet back from 120" diagonal and it's not too big for us. It would take 180" at 15 feet for the same effect.

Why how big would you go? And I forgot to say behind the 2nd row I also will make a stand up bar and that will be 30/35" back.

This can give you the viewing angle at various sizes and distances.

That's great but it doesn't say the minimum viewing distance. I don't want the 15' row to be to close where you lose picture quality
Do you think it will be fine?

Not going to be a problem at 15'! The problem shifts to having enough lumens for the size of the screen.

I question if you will have enough brightness with your setup. With two rows of seating and a bar area behind the second row, does not sound like the projector will be mounted low to take advantage of the gain that is available from the High Power. What height do you plan on mounting the projector lens?

159" sounds about right.....

I have a 150" screen, first row is about 14ft, second about 18ft, bar chairs and dinning room table about 20-30ft......

I'm trying to figure out how high to make the riser for my second row the screen will hang from the 8' ceiling but from floor to bottom of screen it will be 9". The riser calculator says 20". That is to big I think. How high is your riser?

I don't have a standard theatre room setup.......

The room is my living room....which I convert to stadium seating for events like the Superbowl, World Cup, MMA..etc....Ceiling is 9ft....bottom of screen to floor is like 30"

Thus my my risers are temporary and only about 8 inches.....20 inches I would think to be way too high though.....

I'm using a 100" screen at ~12'. I like it. At 14' I thought it was too far back for the theater effect. So, definitely the 159 if you can fit it in. Sounds like you will have to raise the back row for site lines.

Is that 6'-4" from the lower level where the screen is or is that 6'-4" above the raised platform?
