Outlaw lmf plus or Epik Legend for a dedicated 225 sq ft basement theater with carpeting over cement floor? 90% movie/tv 10% music.

Pretty close call. I have heard of some issues about Epik amps, but I can't say from first hand experience. Ask about it in the Epik thread. I love the way the EX/Plus look though.

I own a Plus and its a great sub... From what others have said the Legend is a great sub too.

You won't go wrong with either purchase, both will be a nice upgrade to whatever you currently have. Its really a toss up which one do you like the looks of better? Buy that one.

I like the outlaw from a looks standpoint and that the down firing woofer is protected more.

The Outlaw will much more output in the 20-40hz range. I would take that over the legend since ht is a priority for you.

+1

I think either could be a very good purchase you would be happy with, but the Plus should have the edge for HT usage because of its <30hz output.

I would go with the Outlaw because of your listening material.

What is the return policy for each sub? If you have the money, you could order both to check them out with intent on returning one.

Epik is in Woodstock, IL. Since that is not far from you, you could pick one up and try it.

Good idea. I was not aware of them being only an hour away.
