I am setting up a Denon 3313ci with a samsung pn63c8000 and have been trying for days to get the ARC to work. I have the anynet or whatever turned on on the tv, and have the hdmi control of the denon turned on and set to monitor 1. I have the hdmi from monitor 1 out of denon to hdmi input 2 (ARC) of tv and not working. Everything i read says that this should work automatically. I cannot find anymore settings to change. I think it is the denon that is not working properly because when i push info on the denon when source is set to "tv audio" is says "opt 1" like it thinks the audio input should be do the digitial opt 1 input. I would use that but the tv is a long way from the denon and don't want to run a long optical digital cable across the floor (the hdmi cable is run in the wall).
Does anyone have any ideas as to what i can do? Also, when i go to setup assistant on the denon and try to setup the "tv audio" input part it asks if I want to connect the audio with optical digital able or coax. It doesn't even ask if i want to use the hdmi for ARC.
