Definitely not live. GNR did 3 songs, only 2 shown. I didn't think they sounded that good, altough Myles Kennedy did very well stepping in for Axl.

Is that Steven Adler's real hair? good grief

Chili Peppers sounded awesome.

Great show... The tribute to Freddy King was very good. How about that girl, [Sara Beddingfield??] playing the piano belting out that Laura Nyro, [Stone Ponies??] song.. What an orchestra, kudos to Tom "Bones" Malone from the Blues Brothers who put the Horns together, and of course Paul Shaffa... Thought the Small Faces we're just great [Where was Rod??], Ron Wood still has it, great slide work.. Well what is there to say about GNR, I thought all of the guitars we're under-amped... Until Slash played....Marshall Amplification...RIP, Jim Marshall.. The more I listen to Miles Kennedy, the less I liked it. I saw Camp Freddy with that GNR line-up, with Matt Sorum on Drums play several GNR songs with Sebastian Bach out front, unexpectedly thought he did a better job.
Great tribute to the Beasties, and The Peppers kicked it, how about Flea, great job..... Ck it out...

Rod was sick in Cali. Simply Red singer plays with them when they tour. Stoney End singer was Sara Bareilles (Not Gonna Write You a Love Song singer). I was surprised by how good that was, too. Was better than the original. Must have been awkward for the new Chili Peppers guitarist to be there when he wasn't getting inducted with the rest of the band. Wish Frusciante would have shown up, he's probably hanging out somewhere with Izzy Stradlin, ha ha.

Yeah I don't understand the whole process of what band members are and are not inducted. for the Chili Peppers, those other 2 drummers were in the band when it formed, but Chad Smith played drums on every album that people are familiar with. Dave navarro played guitar on One Hot Minute...did he decline or was he not invited? it's all very odd.

I was also bummed that Frusciante did not show.

Did I miss it, or did they not even mention Dave Navarro?

I thought the Peppers were the best act on the show.....Flea is a perpetual motion machine. Not really jazzed with GnR. I was a huge fan back in the day, but Miles, try as he might, just ain't cutting it as Axl.

As for Faces.....bummer that Rod was not able to be there.

They never mentioned Dave Navarro that I heard.

I saw GnR live in 1992, and was really disappointed with them live even back then. Last i saw of Axl on youtube from concerts in the last year his voice is shot anyways.

i liked green days opening number.

seemed to get the corporate suits into a rock n roll atmosphere and set
a nice tone for the rest of the show.
