Panasonic 2012-compatible 3D Glasses Thread - Page 5

Negative results at Best Buy, for me. I also went in with the Sears price called up on my phone. The salesman went away, and came back to tell me that his manager wouldn't match, because it the glasses are out of stock at Sears.

Has anyone tried these with Panasonic sets yet? Monoprice is claiming Samsung-compatibility only, but it seems to me they should work with 2012 Panasonics too.

I got a pair of these to try, http://www.dimensionaloptics.com/Search.aspx?l=00010001000100090000
I also have a pair of the panasonic glasses. I find the dimensional optics pair to be a little more comfortable than the panasonics and they also do a better job of blocking peripheral light. Plus they are usb rechargeable and come with a case, usb cable and cleaning cloth. smile.gif

Nice that those come with a case.

The $20 Sony RF glasses are awesome, much better than the Samsung ones.
I read that the Sony's use a different range of RF or something and only worked with Sony televisions. Are they working alright with your Panasonic?

The playstation glasses are "IR" and I believe we need "RF" (bluetooth) for the Panasonic ST50 sets. Thank You. MQ

What children glasses is everyone using for the 2012 panasonic plasma's?
The Sony glasses do not work with the 2012 Panasonic models.

TY-ER3D4MU $52.81 @amazon

No go on the Monoprice glasses. While they do pair with the display and at first seem to work, you get the left eye frame only - the right eye shows blank.

will the Samsung glasses work with the Panny LED 3D tv's?
You'll have to be more specific as to which LED models you're referring to (and perhaps ask in a different forum section.)

Bet that price didn't last long.

In any event, I want to know if the TY-ER3D4MU will work with the 2013 models and also if there will be an upgrade from the TY-ER3D4MU (and if so, will it work with 2012 or only 2013).

I was able to get BB to price match Sears at $29.99 today on the TY-ER3D4MU. I got (4) out the door for $128.06. Very happy with the price. Anyone have suggestions or recommendations for a USB hub to charge all (4) pair?

How did you manage...they told me no deal because Sears was sold out.

You could try another store or manager. I haven't yet bothered because I'm not sure what's going on with 2013 and meantime I'm fine with the Sammys.

I guess it was sweet talk! The Manager asked if it was available in store at Sears and I told him I was not sure but I would rather give my business to his store if he would match it and he did.

My sears and BB were sold out of the Panny glasses so I just bought a couple pair of the $20 Samsung glasses.

Thanks for the input, I was about to order them, but thought I'd check to see if anyone had any experience. Saves me some hassle.

Strange that the Samsung glasses work with the Panasonic panels, but that a Samsung compatible set won't work.

Do last year's samsung SSG-3100GB glasses work on 2012 Panasonics? I like them better than the 4100

I'm pretty sure that the answer is "no".

I also noticed that the TV did not acknowledge, with the display that includes battery level in the lower right, the Monoprice glasses. I suspect that the Monoprice glasses were "reverse engineered" and not based on the Full HD 3D spec.

The Sear's deal seems to be over. Looks like they are listed at $79.99 again at sears.com frown.gif

Looks like they're back on sale on Amazon for a little over $48 a pair...
Thanks for the heads-up, Dru. I get these on Friday along with my VT50 from Chris at Cleveland!

Wouldn't you know it. I just gave up on getting another pair of those and instead ordered the 3Active glasses. As it turns out, though, I'm glad I did, because I really like them better. They work just as well, and fit very nicely over my prescription glasses -- there's a flange or ledge of sorts across the top which rests securely on the top of my eyeglasses. No more slipping down every time I move my head.
