Ugh, it's not a piece of junk. You need to make sure that you aren't putting it in a room that is too big and/or a bass black hole (looking at you Archaea ). It is a simple, well made 8" ported 50w RMS sub, not a miracle worker. For $80-$90, it is hard to go wrong.

Exactly! Some people have been pretty critical about this sub, but for under $100 it is a solid buy.

I have Smallish room. My receiver has an LFE output, and the sub only has line level RCA inputs, marked left and right. Do I just run one RCA cable from the LFE out to one channel of the sub? Or some kind of splitter?
