150W Pico PSU enough for i3 ivy/sandybridge build

Thinking of running a fanless i3 build and using the 150W pico psu to power a mATX z77 board, an SSD, and a 5.25 blu-ray drive. Will the 150W be enough?

Most i3 Sandy Bridge are 65W and below so should be ok. I have a 65W i5 running on a 72W Thinkpad brick at the moment.

I run my i3 with the 80W psu with no issues. I have an SSD but no optical drive. So yes a 150w should do it

I run my i3 2100T, 60G SSD, 1TB WD Green, and a Hauppauge 2250 with a 150W pico. I have had no issues in the 6-months I've been using this setup.

i3-2100/H61/SSD/HDD/ODD/tuner card/USB wireless with picoPSU-80 & 72W AC adapter. Max wattage is 50W with Prime95, normal usage 35-40W. 150W picoPSU is overkill .

Fair warning - the 150W brick that comes with the 150XT kit is huge! I built a very similar system to yours:

i3 2125
Asrock Z68 Mini ITX
SSD
(No optical drive though)

and it only drew 60-70W max.

I ended up buying the 102W brick and using the barrel style plug - the 4-pin DIN connection required by the 150W brick would've meant I had to hack up my case to make it fit, where I already had a hole for the 5mm barrel plug.

A good alternative is a picoPSU 120-WI-25 with a 18.5V/6.5A AC adapter. You still have the barrel style adapter but get 120W and come in under the max amperage rating of the picoPSU barrel jack.
