DENON AVR 890 Zone 2 problem

Hi everyone , purchased my first Denon product above, i have a question regarding the Zone 2 side of things, i have my 5.1 surround set up and have my second set of sterio speakers set up as an out door situation. i have everything running fine , i can get the tuner to Z2 while TVor DVD playing in main zone no probs. But i cant play the DVD or TV or CDfrom the DVD player in the Z2 on its own or at the same time as Z1. i havnt a ipod so i cant try to stream that to Z2 to try. I have switched the source for Z2 to DVD, it will play in Z1 but not Z2, have i missed something in the setup somewhere?.

I have Z2 setup via the Amp Assign section.

Sorted thanks heaps, just piggy backed a set of rca analog cables from the DVD to the amp. Works fine . Plays in zone 2 fine .

also does the 890 have the CEC function "consumer electronics control" where you can bypass the 890 to watch the dvd through just the tv speakers?. Can't find reference to it inthe manual.
