Upgrade Dilemma!

Ok here's my situation. I plan on getting a new Panasonic Plasma this fall. I am replacing an old Sony 50" LCD rear projector. I sit about 10' away and have a HDMI 1.2 Yamaha receiver. My budget max is 3K. Should I get a 65VT50 and wait a year to upgrade my receiver or get a 60GT50 (sorry I don't like the ST) and a new receiver at the same time? Thinking about the new Onkyo 818.

I don't think there is a huge difference in Picture Quality between to too models, certainly the VT has finer picture adjustment options. For me the TV would be the primary consideration tho.

I'm wondering what video controls the 818 will have. Will it be as good as the VT50?

I'd upgrade both.

BTW, I read a lot of posts where Onkyo's give people head aches. I'd stick with Yamaha since they seem "friendlier".

I do want to upgrade both. I only wanted the 818 for the Audyssey XT32. Unless something bad shows up in Chad's review, I think I will go for the 65VT50 and hold off upgrading my receiver. That should give some time for more receivers around $1200 that have XT32. Definitely think going "all out" for the 65VT50 is the way I should go. I can't see regretting that one bit!
