Thanks endeaveroux for your response. I realize that I should not complain if I use those smooth and standard settings. Originally reading these forums, someone mentioned that the syncplus app checkbox needs to be unchecked as it was causing picture problems. I found that little tidbit of info and tried that, but I was still noticing these little skips and flutters of the image in these automotion settings even after unchecking that box. I wanted to make sure my tv wasn't bad. I guess I was just wanting perfection after paying big bucks for this wonderful tv.

The 7500 supports the evolution kit which is worth it if you plan to keep the TV for a while

Got my new 46ES7500 delivered from Amazon this past Saturday. Deals on this set are not good right now but I had a time sensitive need.
I am happy so far, but a warning to anyone buying this TV. The settings out of the box are horrific. Frankly the worst I have ever seen. Luckily it only took a few adjustments and it looked good, if not great. I am getting it calibrated by D-Nice soon and am looking forward to the full potential.

Picking up a 60es7500 this week. Question for anyone who has mounted theirs -- what is the slimmest option? It looks like the Samsung ultra slim (picture hanging-type) mounts from last year are not designed for this year's models? Any opinions on the new 250 mount? Looks like it moves the TV out further from the wall than the 2011 options.
Any experience/insight appreciated.
Thanks.
I am very happy with it ALTHOUGH...
I swivel the tv a fair bit, doing so places a fair bit of strain on the HDMI cables and TV connections, and they break. I am yet to find a product that will allow me to reverse the cable direction, in a very small space, so I can gaffer the cables to the back of the TV and take the strain off the connections. Ideally I need a short, very flexible Male to female HDMI cable, or 180 degree adapter that can fold back on itself (the ones on the market swivel to 90 or 270 not flat 180)
I picked up the 55' version on Saturday, I previously had an LG 7600 which I returned because of the backlight bleed.
I guess the better picture makes up for the cons but I would trade all the poorly implemented smart options fo a decently designed DNLA media service.
Try Plex on your Mac, iOS device and Plex Tv app. It works ok for me.
Also I find DLNA to be underwhelming. Buying an Apple TV and using the Airplay feature is the way to go.
I've found using the mobile app, iPad version costs about 5 bucks, and airplaying to apple TV gives the best possible quality... the smart hub app is a bit buggy and doesn't seem to have the same picture.
we need a description of what the firmware actually does...
I dont know if this feature was always there or not...but i just noticed today after the 001046 update....
I can now actually set a time to turn on the tv at anytime I wish...and also turn off at anytime...I get 3 different times for power on and power off...
I'm not talking bout a regular sleep timer...
is this new? or it was always there...but I like it nevertheless....
the flashing smart hub was actually fixed last week with another smart hub update... the firmware update for the tv 001046 has nothing to do with smarthub....they are two separate updates independent of each other....

Hello everyone,
I dont know alot about this tv hope you guys would be so kind to help me out, i bought a 55es7100 from best buy, it was an open box so total was a little over $1600. Doesnt seem to have any problems. It came with the 1023 firmware, now my question to you guys is should I update and what's the latest update?
Have any of the firmware updates updated the codecs from what is listed in the manual? My entire library plays on my PS3 and XBOX, but not the TV. If not, what do most of you use for HD codecs while using the built-in DLNA player?
I just picked up a 60" ES7500 for my wife, but I have a bit of an issue and was hoping I might be able to solicit some advice. I am running Telus's Optik service, which is high speed through their router in my home. The wireless signal where the TV is located is weak. The wireless keeps dropping out. As a result of the weak wireless signal I went and purchased a Dual Band D-Link Wireless AC1200 USB Adapter and was going to plug it into my Samsung and hopefully pull in a strong signal or at least that was how it was explained to me at a big box store. My fear is if I do this I might some how damage the Samsung, I don't even know if what I am trying to do will work or makes sense. Routers have always mystified me... Anyway, where the TV is now is where it has to go, due to the configuration of my living room. Any information or assistance regarding the strengthening of my wireless signal either from my router end or TV end, would be greatly appreciated. One side note, I do have a Netgear 3000 (I believe it's called) that plugs into a wall socket closer to the TV, but the signal keeps dropping out there as well.
