Yes...but Silver in the proper concentration allows for more Black level enhancement without sacrificing as much if any gain, while also making colors and whites more vibrant than a Gray would allow.
Advanced mixes that use a preponderance of Silver metallic additive usually incorporate White Pearlescence and a White or Gray base to balance out the Silver's overt reflectivity.
