Connect/Reconnect HDMI every time?

I am having an issue that is driving me crazy. I have me receiver connected in one room to the mp-ew03 HDMI extender and my TV is connected to the other extender port in the other room. When i power up the receiver, TV, and DirecTV, I have to DISCONNECT the HDMI from the extension port and RECONNECT every single time before it establishes a connection and my tv comes up. Can someone please help me. What is going on? Thanks in advance.

I know you can't append a link yet, but can you provide an easy way to find this particular HDMI extender on the Monoprice website? I'm trying to look up the specs.
