I am running a 3D (not stereo) cube LUT 16^3 calibration as I type. This is the cutting edge (holy grail) for calibrations.
You don't have to be a DIY calibrator, you can hire a pro calibrator that really knows how to do this cutting edge calibration and has the tools to do it.
However you will need something like a eecolor-processor that can hold and process this type of calibration.
The only pro calibrator that I know of that does this type of calibration is Buzz, he also sells the eecolor box-processor at the cheapest price I have ever seen.
btw, if you are a DIY calibrator and are using the Radiance Mini 3D to do a 5^3 LUT calibration your calibration is still very good. However if you go to the very large LUT calibration your Mini can serve very nicely as a triplet pattern generator, as it does for the 5^3 LUT calibrations. .Edited by sillysally - 3/15/13 at 1:32am
