Definitely buddy. I had to go back to the actual pm's to see who asked first. You are second, it will be a coupke weeks before I have the new one hooked up and ready to release the 14k.

If I remember right the LG OEM spec sheet said you get 2100 watts @ 4 ohm per channel. I don't recall what you could get @ 8 ohm bridged, but if it's anything like the FP14K and most other amps from what I have seen then 8ohm bridged should be roughly equivalent to what you are getting at 4ohm per channel x 2.

Meaning, it's just another round about way to get the same power...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

I say keep it simple. One sub @ 4ohm per channel.

Sounds good. I would just need an xlr splitter so I can have two outputs from the mini dsp going to four channels.

I just need to eq each pair of subs seperately, not each driver. Would save outputs on my minidsp that way. Maybe im describing it wrong.....

This is what i was thinking of:

Yes. Actually since i have to use bare wire to hookup to the minidsp, I'll just use a long xlr, chop off the end and then splice two ends on the amp side. I wonder if they sell bull xlr cable without the ends...hmmm. back to the drawing board.

^^^^^

lol! Well if you need this one let me know. Since I had that custom 4-1 splitter made it just sits in my cable box all sad and stuff.

Thats a kind offer, but I'd hate to chop up that beauty.

Emotiva also sells splitters that work great. I have 2 of them.

I ordered the 10000q clone and a couple emotiva splitters, some speaker wire, some 12/3 romex for wiring in the 220 circuit, and a relay for mounting the amp in a closet. Hope to have the first manifold playing this weekend.

How would one use these relays in a 220v application with two hot leads and one ground lead? Do you just "switch" one of the two hot wires? I have a lot of studying before I install it, but just wanted to see if anybody has done this specifically.Omron G7L-1A-TUB-J-CB-DC12

Lunch break. One driver installed in the first manifold. Easy to drag to location, pain in the butt to install. i had to use ratchet straps to lift the motor so I could line up mounting holes. New amp showed up also.

Its more like" You know you need proffesional help when you need a hoist to lift your subs" LOL. Second driver installed. How did I know my floor jack was going to be involved?

Haha, niiiice... Man, looking great. This is definitely going to be a labor love in the long run. With your 4" peak to peak I'm really looking forward to seeing these manifolds jumping. It's going to be a sight for sure.

Have you had a chance to unbox and test your new Clone? I'm stoked for you bro!

Keep us updated throughout the weekend.

I don't have the 220 installed yet. Trying to find a hungry-looking for cash electrician to puit it in cheap.

My electrician is charging $425 to put in my dedicated 30amp circuit. I thought that was high, until I got another opinion. Turns out it's reasonable, but still a lot higher than I really wanted to pay.

Anything to hit the lows...

Ouch. I might do it myself if it is that much. Im tryin to find a diagram for hooking up an xlrto my mini dsp 8x8. I cut the end off and have black, white and shield. I dont see any designation on the phoenix terminal of the mini dsp. Am I missing something? I didnt see it in the manual either. I've seen it before, but for the life of me, i can't find it now.
For running a dedicated line the price depends on how easy or difficult it is to get from the panel to the proposed plug. In my last house it was easy and only cost $170 for a dedicated 30amp line but in my new house the run is much more difficult so it will be double that.
