'Revolution' Season Finale Pushed To June 3
By HuffingtonPost.com Staff - Apr. 16, 2013

The "Revolution" season finale has been delayed.

Season 1 was originally scheduled to sign off on Monday, May 27, but the "Revolution" season finale will now air on Monday, June 3. NBC pre-empted the Monday, April 15 episode of "Revolution" for an NBC News special report on the Boston Marathon bombings. That episode will now air on Monday, April 22, pushing the schedule back a week.

An NBC spokesperson confirmed the change.

The push to June will take "Revolution" even further out of the May sweeps date range the networks covet in order to woo advertisers.

"Revolution" airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

woah, i finally caught up and now I learn there are still 7 more episodes. Hmmm, on the fence on whether to continue, but I guess I will give it the college try. Does anyone else find themselves distracted (or not totally invested, like on the iPad) when watching this?

If there is a Season 2, and it sounds likely, I hope it is only 13 episodes so they can presumably tighten up the show. I get some tired on these shows with nice premises but such sloppy execution. V, FlashForward, and The Event all fell in this camp. Instead of some interesting macro/societal issues to delve into, we are forced to trek along with this band of misfits as they take on the Monroe Republic on their own, full on non-sensical swordfights and gunplay each week.

Hopefully my DVR picks up the episode this week, and doesn't mark it as a "repeat".

Mine does too, but wasn't going to record it because it thought it had already recorded the same episode last week.

Strange how it works- Revolution didn't air- and isn't available online- but Nikita was 100% preempted Friday night on The CW because of the capture of suspect #2. But as is is customary- the show was available 100% intact online (from the usual sources we don't discuss here) 10min after it's normal 9pm eastern finish time... I was really surprised to find it online!

Last Monday's episode of Revolution was not only preempted, it was postponed. It will be aired this week, and will presumably be available online immediately.

I would imagine that Nikita was not only preempted but that they will not re-air the episode.

Your local affiliate preempted Nikita. The CW did not. It was broadcast as scheduled in other local markets. For Revolution NBC preempted it that's the difference.

surprised that noone said anything about tonite's episode.
Depending on the time of year. We are usually 3-7 days behind on the dvr.
As mentioned, my Directv DVR failed to record the 4/22 showing.
Was there a new revolution on tonight? We're in the middle of a snow storm (welcome to April) and it knocked my satellite signal out. None of my shows recorded.
And my TiVo season pass didn't record it because it must have thought it was rerun even though the guide said it was new.

I remember this happened before when a show was preempted and then played the next week and tivo missed it
post #1123 of 1851
I suspected this might happen, and checked my guide (I use 7MC). It was not flagged to record, so I went ahead and set up a manual recording. I'll watch tomorrow.

Mine did the same thing, but I didn't catch it until 20 minutes into the episode. I'll go back and watch the first 20 minutes online to see if I missed anything. I doubt it though.

My DVR failed to record, too, but I didn't notice since other things were recording throughout the evening.

My guess, you'll miss something like:

Miles: "We have to go after __________"
Charlie: "I'm going with you."
Miles: "No way, it's too dangerous."

Charlie goes with him, frowning all the way.

Absolutely not. I charge handsomely for my incompetent, cliche filled writing...then expect a raise when people actually watch... wink.gif

Already did, a few posts up. I used the word frown, but same thing...

I see now why they didn't air this last week... bomb, backpack, big city, etc...

1. So where did Miles hide the radioactive material?
2.. It's the ultimate " let's create these nanites that will cure X million people with cancer, but we'll have to kill many millions more instead, forget the country divided, all the innocent, etc.
3, I can almost guess that Charlie is Miles daughter
4. That Lady President from Georgia, she's as ruthless as Monroe..

Fortunately, this week you were wrong!

Miles: "We have to go after __________"
Charlie: "Ok."
Miles: "You're coming with me."
Charlie: "Awwwww, do I have to?"

Interesting. My Tivo season pass picked up last night's episode automatically. You should check your Tivo. As you say, the guide indicated it was new, so yours SHOULD have recorded.

Only issue I saw was that my Tivo downloaded a new firmware earlier in the day, and to make matters worse, my cablecard went on the fritz - luckily local channels were unaffected. Despite all that, still recorded Revolution (I have set to "new only").

At least we have an answer to questions from earlier in this season as to why things in the Monroe Republic suck so much: things suck because Monroe wants them to suck.

I think it has less to do with the South's ability to grow crops than it does with Monroe using tyranny to keep his subjects down. Rather than embrace capitalism and development and ingenuity in the lack of electricity, The Monroe Republic relies on fear and control. No wonder the Georgia President called Miles "third world".
Yes, it would seem that the rest of the world has adapted to the loss of electricity, while Monroe has stifled all technological development, lest it be used to remove him from power.

I'd also like to know where and how Miles hid the radioactive material, but perhaps he just picked it up with his hands, thus giving him a fatal dose of radiation. He will finally tell Charlie that he's her father as he's dying of radiation poisoning in the season 1 finale, at which point Rachel will suddenly rush to his side and give him a last-minute dose of nanites to save his life in the season 2 premiere. After that, we'll have to spend the entire second season searching for a way to restore the electricity without killing him. Of course, if the first season is any indication, the moment Rachel comes up with a way to keep Miles from dying when she turns the power back on, he will just get randomly shot immediately afterwards. Oh well, there goes another several months' worth of work.

2. I suspect the nanites were originally a medical breakthrough, but that they were adapted for power control by the research team. Now, if they want to shut the things off, they will have to turn off the medical ones along with the power ones. There is no selective OFF switch. Clearly they have more then the two commands of stop power and reproduce, if they can be used to burn people to a cinder on demand. I guess the little pendants should not be used long-term around cancer patients.

1. Unknown
3,4. Almost certainly.

You can via NBC and Hulu streamers as a minimum. Of the two, I find Hulu better, but that may be "situational." I think both require a full 24 hours after the episode airs; of course that is run out now.
I run out of tuners on most Mondays, and Revolution is at bottom of list and streamed. This week I was able to record.

Since I don't have a Hulu subscription, I believe it's a longer wait than 24 hours.

If I have to wait, I'll probably wait for it to pop up in VOD.

+1
Monroe is borderline sociopath- look what he did to one of his men just because he was close to Maj. Neville.
He's obviously unstable and sometimes looks like he's about to break completely.
