Yes. Humans are evolving, or more accurately, devolving into more primitive claw & fang social structures where only the strong & ruthless survive and prosper. And the nanites are evolving, achieving sentience. I'm liking the direction this show is going in now. If they keep this up, this season will be a lot more fun for me. Unfortunately, that will come at the expense of its overall popularity with the masses. No surprise there, unfortunately.

Maybe good sci-fi that actually has something to say and think about can only survive on niche cable channels. Kudos for NBC for trying to give it another shot. Maybe some day....

The only thing that's ever struck me about the title card for Revolution is that it looked like it was trying really hard (and failing) not to be a rip-off of the title card for Falling Skies.

I really like where this is going.

Agreed. The changes to Aaron add a real twist that interests me.

Question: There was a brief conversation in which Rachel and M discussed their healing. I missed the dialog. Were they saying the healing was extra-fast similar to Aaron's?
Yeah she healed up pretty fast, no apparent pain from two wounds, the arrow wound should have been hurting like hell, then she could hang from her arms and knock out a man twice her size and even managed to bury him with one broken hand like nothing..

Aaron could set every patriot on fire now and game over... but I guess not..

I never thought I'd say this, but I also like the way this season is developing. Revolution is maturing nicely, which is shocking.

When was that? I didn't notice it...

He doesn't even know how to control it and parts of the preview say the same thing.

Yeah, I missed it too. Certainly, her NFSW (Non Fatal Shoulder Wound) healed up fast; haven't seen evidence that Miles' broken hand is regenerating similarly, as he's been killing Patriots lefty lately.

This show definitely gets the "Most Improved" award, doesn't it? It's like they changed the whole writing staff after learning from last season's growing pains. The last two eps have rocked and rocked hard. It's turning into the crackerjack sci-fi adventure show that it always wanted to be. Several really intriguing plotlines, building on the seeds left by last year's events at the Tower. Everybody who bailed really needs to give it another shot if they've been looking for a good sci-fi fix. 'Revolution' is looking like it may have finally found the right formula.

I like the new season, too. especially pairing Charlie with Monroe wink.gif and Neville is priceless. Seeing the actor who played Alby in Big Love and the DA in Magic City show up was grand....he and his trademark ****-eating grin wink.gif

I also agree that this season is much improved. I was ready to give it one episode this season and figured I'd be gone, but I'm sticking around now.

Darn it, people! Your faint praise makes me want to go back and start this season, but counting the season finale I skipped, that's like six episodes.

Thank God for on-demand, Amazon, Hulu, and the interwebs in general, eh? wink.gif

Seriously, I was also ready to bail last year before our heroes got to the Tower, then tuned back in this year to see how'd they'd run with it. Pretty far and pretty fast as it happens. And a lot of the details we thought they were glossing over or "winging" are now starting to pay off. Turns out, these guys actually did have a plan. And it turned out to be pretty cool. Who knew?

The episodes are on my DVR. I'm mostly not looking forward to watching 6 hours of the show to catch up. I don't much care to invest that time if it gets cancelled at the end of this season.

A lot of people have that view. I prefer to look at it as watching a show I enjoy and enjoying it for what it is and as long as I've got it. Diff'runt strokes.

I hear you, but eventually this approach will lead to the death of scripted series. They may not be measuring you as an individual, but you're a thoughtful viewer who talks about what he watches, which means you have the potential to be influential on people who are being counted.

Six episodes take about four hours to watch. Or you could just read synopses of the end of S1 and jump right to the S2 episodes, which IMO are more fun .

Everything gets cancelled eventually, except The Simpsons. As long as they get a chance to wrap it up -- which is becoming the norm lately with shows that don't do well but don't absolutely tank -- I think the trip will be worth taking. I'm glad I kept watching; it's fun now.

Wish they had wrapped up Journeyman as neatly as you indicate. I'm still pissed at how that one failed to end with any resolution. In fact, I'm pissed it ended at all.

+1 regarding Journeyman!
I'm still pissed they canceled TSCC, and with a gigantic cliffhanger to boot! mad.gif

I agree about both shows. Yet, if given the choice between having watched them and getting to forget they ever existed, I'd still choose the former. They were fun to watch, even if they ended up in the air.

It was this realization that changed my attitude about not watching scripted series until I was sure they'd survive.

I like this season just like last.. one thing I must have missed.. the tower was destroyed right?
We haven't been given a clear picture of what happened there yet. It looked like at least the computer room exploded after the power went out again, but there might be other parts of the tower that are still functional.

They did make the comment that they couldn't use the tower again to turn the power on or something like that. I think they put that in to let us know the tower is no longer a viable option.

Right it sort of blew all the systems up.

I don't know how it happened, but I'm actually looking forward to next week's episode for once.

I think it's because the show is just better this year. They've certainly upped the action-quotient. And all those acting lessons Tracy Spiridakos must have taken in the off-season are paying off. wink.gif
post #1586 of 1851
I know. I just can't believe it improved this much so quickly. tongue.gif Now I'll actually be sad if it get cancelled. frown.gif

Another really good episode. Just tell me it ain't so that they actually killed Monroe. Me thinks the last scene tells a different story!tongue.gif

Really? I knew he wasn't dead b4 they even took him into the room. I figured Rachel and her dad would give him something that would make him appear to die, but not. Then when her dad was shown to be a traitor, I figured it was just Rachel. It was pretty obvious. It's TV after all.

By the way, if the series continues long enough, Monroe will return to his Gestapo ways.

This isn't walking dead, they are not going to kill off the main characters, they will be there for a LONG time.
But they have and also TWD has killed some... the "main" characters are Miles and Charlie, anybody else is not safe.

Yeah Monroe is alive, puffer fish toxin or something to make him look dead...

I nominate Tracy for the TV Razzies..
