I'm looking to get a new receiver and am having trouble deciding on one. I'm going to primarily be using it to watch movies with a 5.1 system (B&W 600 series speakers). The room is a very odd shape, with the speakers at an angle, so I'd like the best auto-calibration. I might someday use a 2nd zone, but will probably end up just buying a 2nd receiver for that zone so I wouldn't consider that a deciding feature.
I can't believe that I have to say this, but I would like AM radio, preferably in HD. Its not a dealbreaker, but I feel like it shouldn't be too much to ask for in this price range. Apparently Denon thinks differently though.
I'd like this receiver to last a long time, however I don't see any value in 4k upscaling.
I'm looking to spend around $1000
I guess right now I'm looking at the following:
Marantz SR6006
Denon 3313ci or 3312ci
Onkyo Nr-818
However I'd be opening to anything else.
Thanks!
