Sony Bloggie "any good?"

I have a new idea to take some 3D video and looking for a small lightweight 3D cam I can use that shoots in good quality.
The Bloggie looks small enough, and after watching some Youtube videos the quality looks alright.

But I have a few questions about it. I read some people complain that when moving it around and filming that it blurs and distorts, is this true?

If I decide to get one I'll be using it in kinda extreme shooting, moving it fast and the device may vibrate while filming. Will this effect it in any way?
Or should I go with GoPro 3D which is more expensive but I know those cams can handle the extreme things I wanna try.

The Panasonic 3D1 is just as small, but the video and stills quality is visibly better. It has optical stabilization, which is very useful if you hold the camera still. Why don't you look at the thread entitled "Upgrade from the 3D Bloggie." Of course if you are going to move the camera around a lot while shooting and don't want to invest a lot, the 3D videos of the Bloggie 3D are ok.

Thanks, I'll check into it. I saw your video shootout of the Fuji, Pana and Sony. Which do you think is the best?
I know the Fuji doesn't take that good of 3D video. I own one, so is the Pana or Sony better?

If you own both would you mind doing a few test for me? I am curious how well they perform shooting 3D when moving fast "such as moving forward at a high speed, moving left and right and up and down"

I plan on connecting a 3D cam onto a remote control car driving through some rough areas and need a small cam that can handle the speed and vibration.

Hands down, the Panasonic 3D1 is better than the Sony 3D Bloggie and both are significantly better than the Fuji for video. One point is that the 3D1 can be recalibrated to align the lenses specifically, according to the manual, if the camera experiences any sharp blows. This could be useful for the rough use you envision.

Sounds nice, I'm gonna check into this cam.

I recently used the 3D1 to shoot 3D video while driving and it worked but the TD10 was much better. IOS was the key here as well as ability to use Polarizer to cut down windshield glare. In both cams the 3D during rapid pans was just a mess, due to motion blur. Shooting out the side while moving at highway speeds was not pretty for stuff flying by near the road but distant shots were usable and 3D pleasing. Again, the TD10 produced superior results.

I also have the Bloggie 3D and I haven't used it since getting the 3D1. Hand held the bloggie is almost unusable as it has no OIS but on a simple tripod or sitting on flat surface the image quality is OK. Only reason to buy the bloggie 3D is because your budget is too low for the 3D1. The 3D1 costs twice as much as the Bloggie 3D.

The take home message here is that the 3D1 is great when the TD10 is not available, given the choice, get the shot with the TD10.

I can carry the 3D1 in a belt pocket same as my cell phone so it can go with me everywhere and get good results. I only carry the TD10 when I know I will be shooting a project. I used to carry the bloggie everywhere too but the results were rarely usable.

Thanks for the info. I am kinda thinking that at the moment none of the cams will work for what I wish to do. Due to the motion blur moving them around at fast speeds would look horrible.

Check with Frank. About a year ago he was mounting twin cams on a radio controlled car that went all terrain.
