louder 12inch subwoofer help asap!

hello im new to bass really and need advice!

i have a sony xplod 12 inch subwoofer 300rms 1000max

i currently have a juice 500 watt amp bridged at 500 watts

will getting a more powerful amp make my sub woofer sound ALOT better, basssier, and louder. or will the notice be not much at all?

because there is a Juice JA990 3000W 2 channel amplifier avaliable on ebay and not sure weather or not to get it as later i may add another sony sub so i have more cone area, help pleaseee

Why? You want to bother more people in the neighborhood? I bet already you dont hear when an ambulance or a fire truck is coming behind you!

You problem is the Sony woofer, more power doesn't mean it will sound better.

Get a good woofer from Arc, Sundown, Creative sound solutions, Elemental Designs. Have a box built for it and get an amp from a respectable quality company, like Arc, Crossfire, Sundown, Helix.
