Hi, I have a Onkyo S6300 HTIB with the 680 series speakers. I have a short drop wall behind the seating area in my basement where the system will be. I wanted to mount the rear four speakers on this wall but they stick down past the wall and I dont like the looks of it. My question is can I mount them horizontal instead of the vertical orientation they are supposed to be? This is just a family room and doesnt have to sound perfect(that is why I just went with HTIB) I just want to know if there would be much difference or would it sound terrible doing this. TIA.
