does the PS3 output YCbCr 4:4:4 or YCbCr 4:2:2 when playing BD movies?

and I know I asked this before, but does it matter whether the Deep Color setting is on 'Automatic' or 'Off'?

It plays the mode you set it to play as I recall... haven't looked at my PS3's menu in a long time though, but I'm pretty sure there were 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 options... though if you select 4:4:4 you'll get 8 bits and if you select 4:2:2 you'll get 12 bits by default unless you change the bit depth somewhere else... this is a little known or understood factoid that Jim Peterson (Lumagen) has posted in at least 1 thread here.

I've verified this with my receiver and a Lumagen.
