FooBar or Winamp or JRiver for HTPC?

Hi all,

My HTPC is ready, and following Assassins guide to setup Media Center etc.
Everything is perfect so far. The only thing thats missing is installing an audiophile grade music player (not sure if thats the right term to use), but whats the best music player software you can install in an HTPC? Winamp with Enhancer plugin? FooBar with WASAPI/?? or JRiver? Or something else?

The HTPC is connected to a Denon 4311CI AVR with 7.1 Speaker HT setup. The speakers and Subwoofer is highly capable, hence quality sound really matters.
I have a dedicated decent graphic card added to my HTPC as well, its a Asus HD 7850 DCII 2GB

I guess if the music player software uses the AVR's hardware it wud be better right?

Whats the best? Please guide.

Most on AVS use JRiver. Its an excellent audiophile grade player.

Since you use my guides you know I have JRiver audiophile guides as well.

Hi,

I use foobar. I especially enjoy having the VU meters that show 5.1 playback. I assume you are using HDMI from your video card to your receiver (as I am). If that's the case, then I think all three players will meet your need moving data to your receiver.
