VHS to DVD Panasonic DMR-EZ48

I have a couple of minutes of turkeys in the front yard on VHS tape.
I would like to put it on a DVD using my DMR-EZ48 (combo) so I could put it on my pc.
I am hoping someone knows what type of DVD or CD I should buy?
Yes, I read the manual but it doesn't say which one would necessarily work 'best' for what I want to do.
I can't make several trips to town to 'try' different kinds.
My thanks, jen

Panasonics tend to prefer - over + format so that would leave you with either -R(write once, once finalized you cannot change or add to) or -RW which still needs to be fianlized and once finalized you cannot edit or add to but with RWs you can easily reformat and use again.
RWs are ~$1 each while -Rs can be had for 20-30 cents in 100 quantity.
The media sold in most retail stores is very low quality, specialized stores may carry the brand Verbatim, the only real retail media I'd suggest. For RW discs you might have luck with Sony, I would not suggest the most common brand(Memorex) in either type.

The best way to purchase media is through the internet where you can purchase the top quality TAIYO YUDEN but note generally you need to purchase a larger quantity(50-100). Amazon sells top quality Verbatium AZO series(avoid the cheaper Memorex made Verbatium Life series) and occasionally sells them for a decent price. Verbatim also makes a higher quality line than AZOs, DataLifePlus which I've never used but have been told is top rate.
