Thanks TallGuy. I am not so concerned with KRDO/ABC. I know they are testing and not running at full power yet. I am more interested in getting Fox and PBS consistently. CBS is a joy and I'd like/expect the same from Fox and PBS, with ABC to follow soon like you said.
I e'd AD.com and they said that have sold DB4s in the area with success, but who knows if they actually mean 80921 where we live.
I'll give it a try, it's only $59 with a 90 day return policy.
Well the DB4 arrived today. UPS bent the living heck out of it, not good. I opened it up and it looks bad. The packaging is very flimsy IMO, not UPS proof by any means.
I contacted AD and they will send another one, but....
I went ahead and tried to install this one, bending the thing back into shape. The results were very poor reception compared to my current antenna.
My current Antenna is a 4 yo Recoton TV2000. The installed DB4 gave me signal strength numbers of 20-40 for CBS and FOX, zip for PBS whereas my Recoton gave me 82-85 for these stations, 45 for PBS. Not quite what I expected.
Two ideas, 1) UPS mangled this sufficiently to the point where it does not work, or 2) I have selected the wrong antenna for my intended indoor attic install. Given my current indoor reception, I am not interested in an outdoor install.
Any ideas, before I RMA this one back to AD?
