I just purchased an epson 5010 (still being delivered) and read that the AE7000 and the epson has the 480hz drive technology. Of course you have to get the compatible glasses for this function to work (from what I read). I purchased some 3rd gen panasonic 3d glasses for the 480hz function because flickering/brightness has been an issue with 3d since the beginning of time.

I went to a friend's house with the epson 3010 and official epson 3d glasses. I noticed flicker under mild lightning and quickly gave me a headache. I thought the 3010 also has the 480hz drive and it's suppose to eliminate these problems? Is there an option to switch this option on? Does it really work and yield the viewer more light and less flicker or is all this an advertisement trick?
