So I watched war of the worlds and though it did deserve the 5 star bass rating. It seemed barely a 5 star. I watch it again after I get my other sub this weekend.

Try Underworld Awakening. I suggest to look at the stickies for awesome bass movies.

Star Trek 2009

Since you just saw WOTW, here are others(some already mentioned):
The Incredible Hulk
X-men:First Class
Battlefield:LA
Tron Legacy
Cloverfield
LOTR trilogy

If you want unique bass effects watch the plane crash scene from FOTP and the computer lab Scene in the movie Pulse(horror). These 2 scenes are awesome for bass and different.

I don't use the iPhone app, just go to AVS in safari and you can surf like normal.

Yeah I found that out when I was at the store looking for movies and I tried to get into the sticky thread on the app to see what the ratings were. I went back to just using the regular site.

Another good movie for LFE as well as a good movie is X-Men first class. I love the boat anchor scene.

I thought Underworld Awakening had some really good bass on my Outlaw EX.

Another vote for Tron Legacy, if you want LFE, that's the one to watch. If your sub doesn't have balls, it'll bottom out big time.

I've had my Empire cranked up so high for a demo for my teenagers friends, one of them said their voice sounded funny (cause the LFE was pounding them in the chest lol)

Htyd dragon crashing scene bottomed one of my subs. Tron never gave me issues . Art of flight ftw!

I was amazed at the LFE in How to Train your Dragon! Impressive. In fact, a lot of my daughters movies are loaded with content; Toy Story 2,3 - Planet51 just to name a couple.

I just saw that last night! My wife brought home the rental but on DVD. I was bummed because I'd heard the blu sound track was awesome.

Well, Dolby Digital didn't disappoint, I've got an Epik Empire and it got a work out, I'm finding it hard to imagine what the HD MA track will sound like.

While there are certainly some recent movies (Hulk, Tron Legacy, Hellboy II) that are almost drowning in LFE, WOTW goes LOOOWW.

I think part of the reverence some of us have for WOTW rather than some of the recent LFE-overload titles relates to the degree to which the 3 main LFE sequences in the film had a tendency to separate the wheat from the chaff wrt subs and their capabilities. Those sequences bottomed out a number of the 'I really thought it was a strong sub' candidates. One funny mea culpa -- I didn't think it was all that ridiculous myself until I upgraded to my Conquest and realized that there was lots I had been missing (note -- I don't at all mean to imply that this is the case for you. After all, strong LFE tracks have seemingly exponentially increased in number over the past few yrs).

After reading a few posts on the blu ray copies of wotw I wonder if the copy I got was one of the weak copies.

I thought The Immortals had some really great bass last night.

For deep, powerful bass, try these flicks on BD:

i, Robot
Valkyrie
War
Rambo (2008)
Tears of the Sun
Iron Man 2
U-571
Shoot 'Em Up
Death Race
Godzilla (1998)
The Mummy Returns
POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl
Punisher: War Zone
