Possible sub problems

Have a bic f12 and it is set to 4 on gain so I don't have it cranked up. When watching tron today and war of the worlds last night I heard a rattling from the sub. Also during bass heavy music I have heard a rattling from the sub. I get up close to it and it's definitely from the sub enclosure. The speaker still puts out good bass. Any thoughts?

You might want to grab a screwdriver and see if anything has come loose. That would be the first thing I'd check.

Thanks. That's probably it. It doesn't sound like internal to the driver. I'll check now.

Soooo after three days of it driving me nuts I have narrowed it down. The stupid speaker cloth on the grill cover has a wierd plasticy feel to it. It's not allowing airflow from the woofer through it an it is making a rattling noise. Thinking about purchasing some grill cloth from pe to rewrap it. Any thoughts?

That might work, or you could simply leave it off.

I was thinking about that just for movies and music only. But I'll forget and the kids and the cat scare me lol.

With those considerations I'd probably opt for a grill too, so it may be better to try and replace the material.

Roger I appreciate the info. I'm gonna wait till I get my matching sub this weekend and order enough for both.
