Purchasing a Panasonic HDC-TM900

I'm interested in buying last years Panasonic HDC-TM900. Since it is an older model, I'm left with Amazon or Ebay, rather than B&H in NY. Are there any of those places that are trustworthy? I see some new TM900's and some refurbished ones. I just don't recognize any of the sellers. Does any have any input?

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

Bill,

I got my TM900 refurb'd from Amazon for $599. Looks like there's one on there now for $589. It is warrantied for 90 days by the seller and is also covered by Amazon's A-Z Safe Buying Guarantee.

My camera worked just fine, but I felt confident that if it didn't, I could send it back.

Good luck! It's a great camera, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Bill and Bill,

Both my wife and I use Amazon and their partners a lot. We have never had any problems whatsoever. I bought a $35 dollar flashlight from a partner and it arrived as a slightly different model. They refunded my money and told me to keep it. I ordered and received a defective Wasabi camcorder battery and a new one was shipped immediately.

This is the wrong time of the year to be buying Pany camcorders. Prices are very high in the spring and summer and drop like a rock between Thanksgiving and Christmas; e.g. TM900 was $599, SD800 was $487 and TM90 was $299-$350 in early Dec. last year on Amazon.

i was looking myself as i thought there might be a good memorial day sale-
wrong..
i see the pana hdc tm 900 was rated high by consumer reports.

the funny thing is that as i look for most of the cameras rated in the top 20 from the consumer reports 12/2011 issue the prices are higher now than the msrp that CU lists in that issue. what i have noted is that there is a small window of opportunity around the black Friday area when you can get the best deals on something like a camcorder.

If you can live with a 220 GB Hard Drive, B&H has it new for $749. (HDC-HS900)
