Sources have different brightness levels...

Thread Starter
I have an issue with my Uverse Feed.

I have a Sony Projector running through a Denon 2909i reciever.

My Blurays, and dvds look Great. However, my Uverse feed, is significantly brighter, and has less black level than the othe feeds. Sound is fine on both.

Is there a way to calibrate the HDMI through the 2909 or another way so that the Uverse looks the same brightness as the Bluray?

when the system was first installed, I did not notice this to be a problem

thanks

The Uverse box is outputting RGB color space and the BD is outputting YCbCr, nost likely. I've seen this before. Check if there is a Black level or video level selection in the PJ or receiver. If there is, it should only effect the Uverse box and not the BD.

Unless the Denon has individual picture controls (like many Integra models) where you can make the correction before it travels to the projector, there would not seem to be a way to make the adjustment you are seeking.
