106" 2.35 = what size 16x9?

I have 106" 2.35 screen. If I was to put the same image on 16x9 screen with black bars what would the diagonal be?

How tall is that 2.35'er. Are you describing the actual screen width as being 106"?

Best guess if 106 is "width"?

106" diagonal, 96"x 41" which is closer to 104".

41 / 9 *16 = 72.9" wide
83.6" diagonal (http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calcul.../rectangle.php)

Edit - nvm, misread the question - you want the diagonal of the 16:9 screen that would fit the same size image as your current 2.35:1? That would be: 104" wide x 58.5" - 119" diagonal 16:9 screen
