Need help w/ placement of speakers

Guys, this is my first post, but I have done a lot of reading on here on a lot of different things. I need help on the best way to set up my living room/home theater room. I will attach some pics of a simple drawing I mocked up to help explain my situation. This drawing is just what my plans are that I think will be the best way, but I want opinions on better ideas if there are any. Nothing is in place yet, so everything can be moved around including tv and furniture. I am wanting to wall mount my tv and shelves for audio/video components.

My set up (5.1):
Center- Klipsch RC-62II
Fronts- Klipsch RF-82II (floorstanding.
Surrounds- Klipsch F-3 (these are a little older model synergy series floorstanding speakers. I plan on building stands for them to sit on in order to get the tweeter at the right height.

I don't have a sub yet. I can't decide what to get. Looking at Klipsch SW-115, HSU VTF-15H, and Epik Empire (any advice on this is welcome too).
I would also like some advice on how to go about setting this up for a 7.1 or 7.2 in the future. I would probably use some Klipsch RB-81II's for the extra speakers.

Thanks.

Welcome to AVS.

If that's a sectional couch do you have a main listening position or sweet spot where you typically sit? If you do this should obviously influence speaker and display placement. The Dolby speaker setup guidelines are a decent starting point (http://www.dolby.com/us/en/consumer/...ide/index.html). You mention building stands for your surrounds, but is wall mounting an option as well?

Looks like a fairly large room-I would get the biggest sub you can afford and consider adding at least one more in the future. From your list I would favor the HSU or Epik. Typically ID companies offer discounts when purchased in pairs, so that may be something to consider.

Thanks. Yes that is a sectional. I can't mount my surrounds on wall because they are floor standing speakers. That is why I want to build stands for them if I need to get the tweeter up higher.

Thanks for the link and the sub opinions.

Angle the Surrounds at where you are sitting ! Go with Dual Subs front left and rear right ,or what ever is better ... But I would go with two .
