I watched this, alone , last night and can say I'm extremely pleased with the transfer. It has very fine grain with no edge enhancement. It does vary from scene to scene, as far as clarity, especially at the beginning ,but the blacks are solid with rich colors. Some scenes border on wow at times.

I enjoyed the film very much as well.

I'd recommend this title if you either like or have never seen it.

Seconded. Very good movie and perfect presentation. If you are a fan of 70's thrillers this one is a no-brainer purchase, especially for $10.

I did not know that this was out on BluRay. A definite buy for me.

I wish that "The Day of the Jackal" was also remastered and released on BluRay. Another great film.

I've had that on my TivoHD for a couple years or so now. I think I recorded it from MGMHD. A BD would be nice.

I just ordered The Odessa File. I was going to say I missed this disc coming out but it's only been 2 weeks.

It's actually been out for a few years now in the UK (ITV release, I think), and amazon.co.uk is pretty seamless. Nice (unmolested) transfer too.

It's an absolutely stunning transfer - about a hundred times better than I was expecting from a fairly low key catalogue title offloaded on to Image Entertainment. Highly recommended.
