Questions regarding my Home Theater Setup

I am setting up my first true home theater and I have some questions. All comments are welcome. I want this system to be about the best I can get within reason and dollars so I don't want to have to upgrade anything for a long time if possible or have regrets that I should have gotten something better. I wanted to stay within $10K to $15k for everything if possible. I realize that TV technology and receiver technology is constantly improving and changing, but I would like the rest of the components to not need upgrading for a very long time if ever.

My current system:
I just bought the Panasonic 65VT50 and the Oppo 95 for Blu Rays and music.

I plan on buying (2) Klipsch RF-7ii for fronts and a Klipsch RC-64ii as the center speaker.

I need to buy a receiver and was looking at the Denon 4311CL. There is a thread about getting it from ElectronicsExpo for around $1,328.

I need to buy some sort of surrounds and was looking at the Klipsch RF-82ii for rears. I am not sure what else to get.

I need a subwoofer and was looking at an SVS or maybe stick with Klipsch. Not sure if I need 1 or 2 or how much power I need for the room.

I split time between watching movies/TV 75% and listening to music 25%. I plan on mounting the TV to the wall and getting a wall mount for the Klipsch center speaker underneath the TV. I need an audio rack for the equipment and I will use an older one until I upgrade.

The room is my main living room and is not symmetrical. It is roughly 18'x24'. I can't figure out how to get surrounds on both sides because one side opens up to the front door/foyer/dining room area and there is no wall to attach the surround to and the ceiling is very high at that point. The other side has a large sliding glass door so the surround would have to be pretty high up on the wall. The ceiling is vaulted and the peak is about 22 feet high. The wall with the TV will be at the low end of the vaulted ceiling and is about 13 feet high. Floor is carpet, ceiling is wood and fireplace is stone if that helps for acoustics. Attached is a drawing showing dimensions.

Questions:
Are my equipment choices OK so far?
How can I get surround sound with this room configuration?
How big of a subwoofer do I need with this room?
Do I need an amp?
Where do people buy their 12 gauge wire from? Do I need to buy Monster cables?
Does it make sense to buy a Monster HTS 3600 Power Center to plug everything into?

I was going to order the Klipsch RF-7ii and RC-64ii directly from Klipsch. Is there any reason I would want to order from a 3rd party like Amazon or AcousticSoundDesign instead? The price is the same everywhere so is there an extended warranty or return policy that cause people to not buy directly from Klipsch?

I will eventually set up a mini-home theater in the Master bedroom and probably put the items that get outdated in there.

Also, I eventually want to have music available to:

A back bedroom I use for a painting studio.
The Master bathroom.
Outside by the pool.

I was thinking that the Klipsch G17 Airplay speakers would work for those assuming the range works.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Unless you have excess money to burn, I'd recommend you never buy Monster cables! I don't know much about power products.

Purchase your products with a credit card that offers free warranty extension benefits. Make sure to weigh that in where you purchase products.

Your room layout looks pretty difficult to work with! I think I'd get a L-shaped sectional couch so people could be positioned to see both the fireplace and the TV. Maybe extend the stone from the fireplace over to the TV area to bring some continuity.

Does the kitchen line represent a full wall or a bar?

Thanks Vivatech for the response. The Kitchen dividing wall is solid and goes up about 9' then has 2 support beams on either end of the wall go up from that to hold up the A-frame's beam which is about 22' up.

In the future I was thinking about opening that wall up to the living room to have more of a great room effect. It would allow the TV to be watched while in the kitchen which would be really nice. It will involve a complete kitchen makeover so I don't want to tackle that right now.

After looking at the layout again, I am wondering if I can move the couch up to have a viewing distance of about 7' from the TV which would maybe allow me to hang surrounds on the walls. They might be a little bit forward of a 90 degree position though and may be slightly asymmetrical. Once I get the Panasonic and get it set up, I will have to see how far back I need to sit. I have read that about 9'-10' is optimal for a 65" display.

Since I only got just one response to this thread, I went ahead with my original plan. Here is what I ended up doing and what I learned by reading other threads to find good deals:

I bought the Klipsch (2) RF-7ii, Klipsch RC-64ii and Klipsch (2) RS-62ii all from AcousticSoundDesign dot com. I found out that their prices were much better than retail directly from Klipsch and Mike was great to work with. It takes a phone call to get the deal. The Klipsch (2) RF-7ii and Klipsch RC-64ii were $2,800 and the Klipsch (2) RS-62ii was $850 all with free shipping. I was pretty happy with the price and would gladly do business with them again. He had the Klipsch SW-311 subwoofer at a great deal for $500, but I passed because I really want the SVS PB13-Ultra. Just trying to find the SVS in American Cherry so it matches my Klipsch set.

I bought the Denon AVR-4311ci from Electronics Expo for a decent price of $1,250 plus $30 shipping for a total of $1,280. You have to call to get the deal and I used Franz at x151.

I am planning on purchasing an Emotiva XPA-5 amp. I just want to set everything up and listen to the system before I decide what I need/want. I will also pick up a harmony remote and a Rocketfish RF-HTS120 power manager.

I got the TV mount (#6663) for my Panasonic 65VT50 from Monoprice along with a roll of 12 gauge speaker wire. Everything looks good. I have been running slides for my Panasonic and 100 hours will be completed tonight at 1:00am! That wait was killing me since I am dying to play with the settings and see what this TV can do. I upgraded from a 25 year old 27” Sony so the difference should be amazing!

For theater seating I went to about 10 local furniture stores and the only thing I found that was decent was from La-Z-Boy. Their Evan style leather recliners with glide/swivel were extremely comfortable! They look great too in leather. $900+ per chair is a little steep but I have found nothing that compares to the comfort level. They also had a decent couch sectional made specifically for home theater called the Legend. It has power recliners on the ends. It wasn’t quite as comfortable as the recliners though, but if I don’t get some kind of couch for the living room it will look kind of strange if there are only recliners lined up.

Once I get everything set up and looking good I will try to post pictures.
