I just bought a new Sony HT-SS380 HTiB to pair with my PS3 for watching movies. The HTiB can decode DD+ 5.1 and the PS3 is set up to bitstream DD+ 5.1 directly to the HTiB. However, when I play movies on Netflix that have DD+ 5.1 support, the receiver shows the signal as only regular DD 5.1, not DD+ 5.1. Is this a limitation of the Netflix app on the PS3 or is something else the problem? I haven't watched a BD yet that has DD+ 5.1 audio, so I don't know if this is a Netflix specific issue or something more general (like the PS3 or HTiB). So far, I have watched BD movies in both DolbyTrueHD and DTS-HD MA and the PS3 bitstreams these formats flawlessly to the HTiB, which lights up to indicate those formats in use. HDTV programming shows regular DD as does Netflix. However, Netflix is supposed to be DD+.
