Okay to buy vt50 from ebay?

Seller called barkingspider1 has a few 65vt50's for sale. His ratings are perfect and his sell history is full of AV products and glowing reviews. My questions are : would you do it? is the manufacturers warranty valid? He says it s brand new, factory sealed, etc.

As a side note : got a def tech pro cinema 800, and onkyo tx-nr818 for my sound and looking to get a 65vt50. This is my first foray into home theater stuff. Does this setup seem okay?

I would only buy from a seller with a great return policy and long history.

Yea - 30 day return policy (including shipping). He has a history since '99. I can't find anything wrong with his Ebay history at all.

I'm more worried about the warranty.

Manufacturers cannot deny a warranty even when they claim they can.

Panasonic doesn't even run the ridiculous game of claiming they can circumvent federal law by whim and deny you a warranty.

Get a receipt on a sealed-box product and you have a warranty. Also, if you're a Costco member, your $99 insurance policy of a SquareTrade warranty is not a terrible idea. (I believe even non-members can buy from there for not much more on Costco.com but you'd have to verify that yourself.)

Try Mack warranties as well. I got a Samsung 3d tv off ebay a couple years ago. Warranty was like $69 for $1500 of coverage.

Why not ask the seller about the warranty?
