Hi everyone,
I am new to AVSForum but it's about time I joined.
I just recently bought a Pioneer VSX-1021-K. Here are the equipment connected to my receiver.
1. XBOX (component in)
2. Roku (HMDI in)
3. Samsung Blu-ray Player (HDMI in)
4. 60" Sony Bravia
5. Polk Audio: 1 10" subwoofer, 2 front speakers, and 1 center speaker
Receiver is using HDMI out to my Sony TV.
So, here's where I need help on:
I am actually able to connect everything, both video and audio are working properly for each device. BUT whenever I watch videos on my Roku or Blu-ray player, there's a little bit of dotted vertical lines on the screen (they're not noticeable to others for the most but I definitely notice it). I'm guessing that it's the HDMI out slot on the back of the receiver that is at fault here. I've tried 3 different HDMI cables and produces the same line distortion on the display. I've also connected the HDMI able into different HDMI slots on my TV. It's quite annoying.
I am able to output XBOX with component since it's going in as a component but I can't with Roku and Samsung since they are both going into the receiver with HDMI.
So, is my receiver at fault here? (faulty product) or is there something missing here? Has this ever happen to anyone, even with a different receiver? Any work around without sending my receiver back for replacement?
Any advice is much appreciated.
- Mike
