HK DPR1001 and multiroom settings

Hi all,

I have an HK DPR 1001, and I'm trying to set it up with the surround rear speakers as a second/multiroom option, for outdoor speakers on the patio. It seems to work well enough for the radio, but none of the digital inputs route to the patio.

Can it really be that multi room only works for analog sources? Is there something obvious that I'm missing here?
