Movable Risers?

Have any of you constructed movable risers in your non-dedicated or multi-purpose rooms? I'm in the riser design phase for our 17x27 rec room and am wanting the option to transform from theater to a more open room concept from time to time (kids birthday parties, poker games, Wii and Xbox Kinect battles). I have 10 theater seats and am planning on 2 rows of 5 with bar seating behind the back row for 3 or 4.

My preliminary thoughts are to bolt each row of 5 seats on a 2x12 or metal plate of some sort that can be easily released from the riser decking and moved into storage. The risers would be constructed similar to a trundle bed, where the front riser platform could be pushed back inside the rear riser (on some sort or slide rail, wheels or "magic slider" pads) then pushed along a back or side wall.

I'm open to any and all suggestions.

You might also look at portable stages, which are usually designed to quickly collapse, fold, or split into lightweight pieces for moving and storage. I was thinking about trying an Intellistage at one point myself.

In my previous house I had DIY risers that were technically movable because they weren't attached to anything, but when you start dealing with that much framing lumber and plywood things get very heavy very fast, and I wouldn't have wanted to actually move them more than once every year or two. In my current house I just recently added a back row by making little 24x48 risers for each recliner; they slide around easily enough but the chairs themselves are heavy and awkward to handle so getting them on and off the risers is something I wouldn't want to have to do very often.
