Need suggestions for vertical lcd display

I have a project for work that requires a vertically (portrait) installed LCD monitor. We have already tried 3 different monitors and are experiencing the same issue with all. They look fine viewed directly in front of it, but become very distorted and dark when off to the side more that 15 degrees or so. Are there any monitors that are made vertically that could solve my problem? All we have tried is taking standard LCD displays and mounting them vertically.

Some display vendors such as NEC make commercial grade monitors and may make a portrait model. Also you may be more likely to find a Plasma model which you can mount vertically and still have decent viewing angles since plasmas normally all have better viewing angles.
