#### The ULTIMATE Bass Demo Disc #### - Page 6

You're welcome smile.gif I still have no idea as to why the scenes jump from one to the other when I know I specifically made sure to have the option enabled to force the scene's to go back to the menu after they were done playing. Hopefully, an update to this disc can be released later on down the road.

Downloading this as I type.
Really appriciate all the work you put into this. Can't wait to give it a spin.
Also downloading (at 2KB/s lol and uploading at the cap I set @ 60KB/s) eek.gif, but yeah, thanks for taking the time to do this!
Jindrak, would it be possible to edit your first post to remove the speculation and replace it with the torrent link and steps required to make the ISO burn successfully ? At the moment it's spread about the thread a bit.
Question, what are people using that have a Windows 7 machine to play this? I created an ISO, but it seems that there is no great, free player out there. I can play clips, but don't see any menu...

I just want to test it out before burning it to a $10 disc.

@jonathanc

Sure, I'll go update the first post. Can't believe I never thought to do that.

@nickbuol

There are no free programs to play complete blu-ray discs with menu's. Not even VLC can do it. I use TMT to play things like blu-ray disc's, but that is a paid for program.

Xbmc works flawlessly for me for the other reference blu ray iso I have.

Ah, never tried that. Does it play the lossless audio with out converting it?
I can confirm I have no problem reading the .m2ts files with either VLC or XBMC under win7. XBMC 12 (Frodo) was able to display the menu but bizarely slecting an item doesn't actually show the scene though.

However maybe I cleaned up the folder structure incorrectly. I removed 0-byte files and moved non-null-size files one directory up, deleting the duplicate directories.

This is without creating an ISO first by the way, just browsing the BDMV folder structure.

EDIT: just wanted to add that XBMC can bitstream the digital audio through HDMI but you may have to select that option in the audio menu. Also, the menus in superleo's Bass Disc work well by starting the index.bdmv file, so maybe I did something wrong with Jindrak's folder structure. My point is XBMC is an amazing solution if you don't want to create an ISO and burn to 50GB media.

I'm just catching up with this thread...major thanks for all the hard work. I'm downloading now...not capping my upload. Hopefully, this'll take less than the week it's estimating LOL.

Thanks again!

Thanks. I just grabbed the TMT trial and sure enough, I get menus and things work. Time to burn this ISO.

Might have to buy TMT. Seems like a nice app to have.

Thanks again.

This is taking forever to download through uTorrent. Been at it for 2 days now.
Took me ~3 days, my connexion speed wasn't the limiting factor most of the time. Will busy my monthly cap for sure though biggrin.gif
post #164 of 852
Thanks for the disc, tried it tonight and seems to work fine. Took me about 7 days to download.

I didn't add the BDJO and JAR folders though, and I get the disc playing scene after scene, so maybe that is the reason.

In the end, nice job, good to have another demo disc with some different scenes than what we've seen before.

I don't see anyone connected to the torrent anymore from the seedbox. Are people still downloading?

Yup, still there
Can someone with the approval of jindrak upload the disc to a newsgroup? Faster download and better availability with a paid newsgroupserver.

The only problem with that is that everyone has to pay to download it. True, there are free trials out there, but what about when other disc's come out?

It is. I use it. And it's frequently on sale. TMT 6 was just released.

Word on the xbmc forums is that it treats a bluray ISO exactly like if you burned it and played it on a player.

XBMC 12 (Frodo) supports all hd audio formats natively. It can decode or bitstream.

I believe the issue is you "should" be combining the files into a bluray ISO. And then stick it in your library and toss the downloaded files. XBMC will then handle the iso as if it were a bluray. I've done it before with DVD ISO's but never bothered with a bluray, as my blurays are ripped to MKV.

Also, it may help to post this thread on some of the other audio forums. The more people seeding, the faster for everyone. Assuming most people seed. I wouldnt mind posting it on the somethignawful.com forums, as there is a small collection of home theater hobbyists there. Of course I would only do so with your permission.

I called the boss and asked her to start downloading yesterday. It's downloading around 250KB/sec and has around 7 hours to go. Should be a nice treat. I've been stuck out in the very very far north for almost 2 weeks now, so it will be fun to play with this once I'm home.

I know. I couldn't even get the other scenes I wanted into this one. Volume 3 will soon follow. Still had scenes from Superman Returns, Cabin in the Woods, Horton Hears a Who,Star Wars Episode 2, Titan AE.
Are the few that I listed that were removed going to be added, or were they deemed unnecessary? Also, I can't get it to run even after adding the 2 new folders. Any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind, I forgot to eliminate one of the 0b files!

Also, fantastic work! I'm loving every second of it and can't wait to have a proper theater room to really strut this stuff.
