Quick Ohm question

I am buying a theater system that I am going to be putting together my self, my question is can I have 8ohm mids with 8ohm tweeters with an 8ohm receiver, the obvious answer is yes, BUT I have an amplified sub that is on 4ohm, could I hook up the sub on 4ohm to the receiver and not break anything?
Also: Here is a link to my shopping carts
once i get 3 posts..

if you have an amplified subwoofer that is 4 ohm, it should have no effect on the receiver as you should be using the lfe output to the amplifier.

If by chance i misread and the sub is not amplified- I would strongly recommend against powering any kind of sub on a receiver's speaker outs.

You are correct about the amplification. What I'm doing is buying a subwoofer and then a plate amplifier so I can make my own box. To connect the sub I wire the LFE to the pre-out on the reciever?
